LED Modular Panel Light- PA series

What Is the PA Series Modular Panel Light?
The PA Series is a modular LED panel light whose luminous modules are joined edge to edge inside a single frame, so the panel length can be built to any project dimension without visible seams or dark gaps. Each PA panel combines a 30 W or 60 W module set, 140 lm/W luminous efficacy, UGR < 19 glare control and a Zhaga Book 18 sensor opening.
OLAMLED manufactures the PA Series to customer drawings in Shenzhen, with low MOQ and SKD supply options — so a specified panel size, CCT band, driver type and label can all be changed within the same product platform. The PA Series sits alongside the modular panel light range, where the PG-2 and CD series cover stricter glare classes.
Which dimensions can actually be produced, and what stays fixed?
Custom Sizes: Panel and Module Dimensions Built to Your Drawing
The PA Series can be produced at any panel length between 1200mm and 1700 mm, with the luminous length specified separately from the frame length. The reference unit shown here measures 1,700 × 150 mm with a 1,200 mm luminous length, draws 30 W and delivers CRI > 90 Ra.
Because the luminous modules butt together without a gap, a longer panel keeps one continuous lit surface instead of showing a dark joint every 600 mm — which is what makes the PA Series usable for continuous runs across open-plan ceilings.

Air-Slot Housing: Thermal Management and Ceiling-Grid Airflow
The air-slot housing runs vents along both long edges of the PA frame. The slots move heat away from the LED board and the driver, which holds the junction temperature down and protects lumen maintenance over the rated life.
In suspended-ceiling installations the same slots let return air pass through the ceiling grid instead of being blocked by a sealed panel, so the luminaire does not disturb the room’s HVAC balance.
Standard Panel Sizes for Stock and Distribution
Five standard formats cover the ceiling grids most often specified in commercial projects: 600 × 600 mm, 620 × 620 mm, 300 × 600 mm, 300 × 1200 mm and 600 × 1200 mm. Standard formats ship faster, stack more efficiently in a container and are far easier to hold as stock than one-off custom lengths.
Distributors normally start with standard sizes for shelf and catalog business, then add custom lengths for project tenders. Both come off the same PA platform, so photometric behavior and appearance stay consistent across a mixed order. For distributors assembling locally, OLAMLED also supplies these formats as SKD LED panel light kits.
Zhaga Book 18 Sensor-Ready Opening
Zhaga Book 18 is the interface specification that standardizes the mechanical and electrical connection between a luminaire and a plug-in sensor or communication node. The PA Series ships with a Zhaga Book 18 compliant opening, so a motion detector, daylight sensor or D4i node can be added or replaced on site without opening the luminaire or rewiring the driver.
That matters over the life of a building: a project can be commissioned as a plain switched installation and later upgraded to occupancy-based or daylight-based control without replacing the luminaires. Because the interface is standardized, the sensor is not locked to one supplier.
What the opening accepts
Motion / presence detector · daylight (ambient light) sensor · D4i-compatible node.
PA Series Specifications: Models, Power, Lumen Output and Efficacy
Unified Glare Rating (UGR) is a standardized metric defined in CIE 117 and EN 12464-1 that quantifies the discomfort glare a luminaire produces in a given room. A lower UGR means less discomfort glare. EN 12464-1 requires UGR ≤ 19 for offices and classrooms, and UGR ≤ 16 for precision visual tasks, technical drawing rooms and most healthcare examination areas.
The PA Series delivers UGR < 19 as standard, with a UGR < 16 optical option for projects that specify the stricter limit. The 90° beam angle spreads light widely for general ambient lighting in open ceilings; the 65° option concentrates output where the mounting height is greater or the task area is narrower.

Beam Angle and Glare Control: 65° / 90° Optics, UGR<19 Standard
The Uniform Glare Rating (UGR) is a digital system used to quantify the degree to which a luminaire’s output may cause glare. In lighting design, UGR values are usually lower than 16, especially for indoor environments, such as offices, schools and medical facilities
Four Mounting Methods: Recessed, Surface, Suspended and Custom Brackets
The PA Series installs four ways, and the choice is normally decided by the ceiling rather than by the luminaire.
Recessed (built-in)
The panel sits flush in a ceiling cut-out for a minimal, uninterrupted surface. Requires a suspended or plasterboard ceiling with the cut-out dimension listed in the specification table.
Surface mounted
A surface frame fixes the panel directly to a concrete ceiling or wall where no void exists behind the surface — the usual choice in renovation work.
Suspended
Steel wires drop the panel to a chosen height, which brings the light closer to the working plane in rooms with high ceilings and allows an indirect upward component.
Custom brackets
Where a ceiling system is non-standard, OLAMLED tools project-specific brackets and trims from the site drawing.
Where the PA Series Is Installed: Offices, Classrooms, Healthcare and Retail
The PA Series is specified wherever a large, evenly lit ceiling plane has to meet a glare limit.
Offices and retail
Continuous custom lengths keep an open-plan ceiling visually calm, while UGR < 19 satisfies the EN 12464-1 office limit for screen-based work. Pair with office linear lighting for corridors and feature runs.
Schools and libraries
Classrooms and reading rooms need low glare from every seating angle. The 90° optic covers the full room width, and the <16 option is available where a stricter brief applies.
Healthcare and public buildings
Banks, clinics and care homes combine long occupancy hours with strict visual comfort. For controlled environments see cleanroom lighting solutions.
PA Series Modular Panel Light FAQs
Here are some most popular FAQs during our 17 years experience as a LED lighting solution provider, and please feel free to contact us if you have more questions.
Yes, if your need our lighting products offer adjustable color temperatures to suit various environments project
No, the sensor drops into the pre-cut Zhaga Book 18 opening and locks with a quarter turn; no rewiring of the driver is required.
A modular panel light is built from several LED modules joined inside one frame, so its length is not limited to fixed 600 mm grid formats; a standard LED panel is a single sealed edge-lit or backlit unit produced only in stock sizes.
The three series differ mainly in glare class and reflector design: PA reaches UGR<19 (UGR<16 optional), PG-2 reaches UGR<16, and CD reaches UGR<15.
The lead time for our customized lighting solutions typically ranges from 4 to 6 weeks, depending on several factors such as the complexity of the customization, the quantity ordered, and the current production capacity. Custom features, such as specific installation methods or integration with smart technology, may require additional development and testing time. We strive to work closely with our clients throughout the process to ensure transparency and keep them updated on their project’s progress. Early in the consultation phase, we provide a more precise timeline based on the specific requirements and constraints of your project to ensure that your expectations are met within the desired timeframe.
Under normal circumstances, we can provide initial design drawings within 2 working days after receiving your customization requirements. Once the design is approved, we aim to produce and deliver a prototype within 3 to 5 working days. For bulk orders, the lead time is typically between 20 to 25 working days, depending on the order size and specific customization details. These timelines are our standard; however, we always work closely with our clients to accommodate any urgent needs or specific deadlines they may have, ensuring their project progresses smoothly and efficiently.
Yes,the 595×595 mm actual size drops into the same 600×600 mm ceiling grid opening used by T8 grille troffers, and the surface-mount kit covers cases where no grid exists.
